Contract by which a person affects certain assets or rights for a specific lawful purpose, for their own benefit or that of a third party, entrusting the accomplishment of said purpose to a fiduciary institution. The assets may be real estate, cash resources, securities rights of insurance policies, shares, among others.
TThis is the way in which a foreigner can acquire in a restricted area in Mexico.
The restricted zone, according to article 27 of the Mexican Constitution, is all land located 100 kilometers from any national border and 50 kilometers from any ocean. Article 27 of the Constitution establishes that no foreigner will be allowed to acquire direct title to the land within the restricted zone. However, Mexico's Foreign Investment Law allows foreigners to acquire indirect land titles in the restricted area through a bank trust.
